Toner leakage happens to toner cartridges. Apart from cartridge shell damage, another cause is toner buildup on the internal magnetic roller during transportation or due to other factors. The fix is straightforward: simply rotate the OPC drum core several times in its operating‑rotation direction.
1．When toner leakage occurs on eco‑friendly toner cartridges, the causes include shell damage and accumulated toner on the built‑in magnetic roller caused by transit or other reasons. The solution is easy; just turn the drum core clockwise for a few rotations.
2．Horizontal black (or‑colored) lines occasionally appear on printed outputs. This can be attributed to a damaged magnetic roller or its off‑axis rotation, which creates an uneven gap between the magnetic roller and eco‑friendly toner cartridge. Under such circumstance, toner transferred onto the surface of the OPC photosensitive drum will also be distributed unevenly.
3．The printer sometimes fails to respond after toner‑cartridge installation. Keep the cartridge fitted inside the printer and check whether its rear‑right corner is fully seated. The cartridge chip is mounted at this position on certain models. Without the chip, the printer cannot recognize the toner cartridge, and you will need to install the chip.
4．Tiny black dots on printed pages are usually triggered by scratches on the toner cartridge or charging roller. Foreign debris and paper dust inside the printer may abrade the photosensitive drum. A brand‑new toner cartridge needs replacing once the OPC drum gets damaged.
5．Obvious background fog on printed documents generally indicates faults with the photosensitive drum core or toner powder.
